The present invention relates to a field joint of a longitudinal roof carrier to a vehicle roof, where the principal element of the carrier is a longitudinal tube (1), which is provided with fixing means for its fixed field connection with the vehicle roof (6). Each fixing means comprises a supporting fixing body (2) of plastic or metal with a through hole (7) for insertion of a connecting means (3), the both ends of which are provided with a thread wherein said connecting means (3) passes through the hole in the longitudinal tube (1) bottom surface and is screwed in a steel nut (4) of substantially parallelogrammatic plane with a spherical bottom contact surface. This nut (4) is inserted in the interior of the longitudinal tube (1) and is secured during its both assembly and disassembly against rotation inside the longitudinal tube (1) profile by abutting the inner wall of said longitudinal tube (1) profile. Extreme position of the screwed-in connecting means (3) is defined by a stop inner skew lateral wall of the longitudinal tube (1) profile. The supporting fixing body (2) is provided in the area turned toward the nut (4), i.e. in its upper surface, with a spherical stop surface, too, wherein the position of the center of that spherical stop surface of the supporting fixing body (2) corresponds to the position of the center of the spherical stop surface of the nut (4) and at the same time it lies on an elongate axis of the connecting means (3). Further, in the supporting fixing body (2) there is performed a conical or oval through hole (7), optionally a combination of both the forms, for possible inclination of the connecting means (3) into a required direction in functional position of its insertion into the through hole (7) and screwing into the nut (4) in the interior of the longitudinal tube (1) of the roof carrier, wherein said connecting means (3) passing through an opening in the vehicle roof (6) is fastened to a component of the vehicle reinforced body. The nut (4) is made of a parallelogrammatic half-finished product with a through hole extruded therein. It is manufactured in a pressing device of a steel strip. The through hole is extruded in said half-finished product and subsequently a thread is pressed therein. Finally, said spherical stop surface is performed by pressing.
