The present invention concerns a cosmetic composition with enhanced spreading properties comprising acylated fatty alcohols, a method of preparing such a composition, and the use of such a composition. The acylated fatty alcohols are obtained by providing an amount of a fatty alcohol containing composition and adding an amount of an acylating source to the fatty alcohol containing composition.
