METHOD FOR POSTMORTEM ASSESSMENT OF TIME OF MECHANICAL INJURIES OF MUSCULAR TISSUE WITHIN THE FIRST DAY FOLLOWING TRAUMA

A method for postmortem assessment of the time of mechanical injuries of the muscular tissue within the first day following the trauma comprises the histochemical examination of the early postmortem alterations of the tissues. PAS staining of the specimens of striated muscle bioptates is provided. The injured tissue is compared with intact one taken from contralateral site. The optical density of striated muscles is estimated.
