A reduced-pressure system for delivering reduced pressure for medical purposesto a desired site and to receivefluids in one instance includes a reservoir having an interior space operableto contain the fluids. A reduced-pressure deliveryconduit is placed in fluid communication with the interior space fordelivering the reduced pressure to the desired site. A sourceconduit and a pressure sensor conduit are placed in fluid communication withthe interior space. A pressure sensor is placed in fluidcommunication with the pressure sensor conduit. A reduced-pressure source isplaced in fluid communication with the sourceconduit. A reduced- pressure control unit is associated with the pressuresensor and the reduced-pressure source and is operable toreceive pressure data from the pressure sensor and supply data from thereduced- pressure source and to determine when areservoir-full/blockage condition exists.
