In the present invention, raw material to be pulverized is given a small particle size in a short period of time.This vibrating pulverizer has a cylindrically shaped space inside, and the central axis of this cylindrically shaped space is disposed so as to be substantially horizontal. The vibrating pulverizer is provided with: a container (1) that is held so as to be vibratable in a direction within a plane substantially perpendicular to that central axis; a circular cylindrical medium (2) disposed so as to be vibratable inside the container (1); and a plurality of pulverization media (3a, 3b) disposed so as to be vibratable on the inside of the circular cylindrical medium (2). The ratio (inside diameter of circular cylindrical medium (2) with which pulverization media (3a, 3b) are in contact/outside diameter of pulverization media (3a, 3b)) of the inside diameter of the circular cylindrical medium (2) with which the pulverization media (3a, 3b) are in contact to the outside diameter of the pulverization media (3a, 3b) is 2.1 or greater, and the integrated value for the volume of the pulverization media (3a, 3b) is a value that exceeds 25% of the spatial volume inside the cylindrical medium (2) with which the pulverization media (3a, 3b) are in contact.
