Disclosed is a method of manufacturing an aqueous liquid dispersion of a conductive polymer capable of providing a solid electrolyte capacitor having high CR and low ESR. This method of manufacturing a liquid dispersion for a solid electrolyte capacitor includes a preparation step of obtaining a liquid mixture in which particles of a water-insoluble or poorly water-soluble conductive polymer derived from a monomer having a π-conjugate double bond are mixed with water not containing an organic polymer binder in the amount of 1.0 to 2.0 mass % of the whole and a step of dispersion by irradiating this liquid mixture with ultrasonic waves having a frequency of 15 to 100 kHz.
