The invention relates to a gear-cutting machine having at least two workpiece spindles for receiving the workpieces to be machined, having at least one main machining station for incorporating the gear teeth or the profile, and having at least one secondary machining station, wherein the workpiece spindles are arranged on a pivoting unit that is pivotable about a main axis. The angle enclosed by the spindle axes associated with the workpiece spindles and the main axis is less than 180°. The invention also relates to a method for producing or machining gear teeth on workpieces.
