Provided are a downlink control information transmission method and device, the method comprising: according to a predefined condition, mapping downlink control information carried on an enhanced physical downlink control channel (E-PDCC) onto a physical resource block pair, the predefined condition comprising at least one of: the E-PDCC aggregation level, subframe cyclic prefix type, the format of downlink control information carried on the E-PDCC, the E-PDCC transmission mode, and mapping mode indication information; and transmitting the downlink control information carried on the physical resource block pair. By mapping according to one or more predefined conditions, the present invention achieves mapping from the E-PDCC to the physical resource pair, and ensures the E-PDCC to obtain frequency domain diversity gain and scheduling gain.
