CIE LAB COLOR SPACE-BASED METHOD AND DEVICE FOR COLOR CONVERSION AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE

A CIE Lab color space-based method for color conversion, comprising: converting from two-dimensional color space planes Ln and Ln-1 of original image data into target two-dimensional color space planes Ln' and Ln-1'; calculating between Ln' and Ln-1' an Lx' identical in brightness level with Lx on the basis of a known random brightness plane Lx between Ln and Ln-1; calculating a conversion relation matrix between Lx and Lx'; calculating a post-color-conversion adjusted target color for the color of any one point of the original image data on plane Lx; and completing the color of a target color space. The method allows for increased speed of color conversion and for color rendering of increase resemblance to the color of an actual object.
