A slewing angle detection method for a slewing mechanism comprises: obtaining an actually measured slewing angle of a slewing mechanism; according to a prestored initial slewing model of the slewing mechanism, calculating a theoretical slewing angle of the slewing mechanism; calculating the difference value between the actually measured slewing angle and the theoretical slewing angle, and using the actually measured slewing angle as a detection result when the absolute value of the difference value is less than a set value; otherwise, using the theoretical slewing angle as a detection result. Also disclosed are a slewing angle detection device and detection system for a slewing mechanism, and construction machinery. By comparing an actually measured slewing angle with a theoretical slewing angle, the fault judgment of an angle sensor is achieved. Moreover, under the condition that the sensor generates a fault, a more precise slewing angle can still be obtained, thereby guaranteeing the security of slewing control.
