The device for electrically charging a mobile robot with low degree of freedom comprises a receiving station, the robot comprising means of vision on its front face, means of motorization and means of control, the receiving station comprising a charging facility designed to afford electrical charging of the robot, and is such that the means of control cooperate with the means of vision so as to control said means of motorization and are adapted so as to: (i) cause the mobile robot to approach the charging facility by proceeding forwards until reaching a first position of the robot at the charging facility and then (ii) causing the mobile robot to turn around until reaching a second position of the robot so as to render it able to be charged electrically from the charging facility.
