PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of glasses and a glass are provided to enhance chemical reinforcing treatment efficiency by controlling the sodium concentration of the glass surface.;CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of glasses(11) comprises the following steps: reducing the sodium concentration of the glass surface lower than the sodium concentration of the glass central part; and dipping the glass into molten salt including potassium and substituting a part of sodium iron in the glass with the potassium ion. In the sodium concentration reduction process, the sodium concentration of the glass surface is lower in 3% or more as the intensity count of the fluorescence X-ray based on the sodium concentration of the glass central part. In the sodium concentration reduction process, sulfide is segregated from the glass surface. The sulfide segregated on the glass surface contains sodium sulfate. The molten salt is mixed molten salt including potassium nitrate, sodium sulfate and/or potassium sulfate.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
