PURPOSE: A plating composition, a plated steel product manufacturing method, and a plated steel material coated with the plating composition are provided to improve the corrosion resistance, workability, and coating quality of a plated steel material by controlling the size and shape of intermetallic compounds in a plating layer.;CONSTITUTION: A plating composition comprises 30-50 weight% of Zn, 2-10 weight% of Mg, 0.5-8 weight% of Si, and the remaining amount of Al. The plating composition satisfies the following equations, Mg2Si[wt%] 0.125 × {Al[wt%]+ Mg2Si[wt%]}, Al[wt%]/Zn[wt%]=1-1.5, and Si[wt%] Al[wt%]×0.03 + Mg[wt%]×0.7. The plating composition also includes one among 0.01-0.5 weight% of V, 0.01-0.5 weight% of Cr, 0.01-0.5 weight% of Mn, and 0.01-0.5 weight% of Zr and one among 0.01-0.5 weight% of Sr, 0.01-0.5 weight% of Na, 0.01-0.5 weight% of Sb, and 0.01-0.5 weight% of Ca.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
