PURPOSE: A method and a system for obtaining magnesium are provided to improve the environment of a workplace by preventing dust, heat, and toxic gases from spreading into the workplace by easily sealing a gap between the lower surface of a supporting plate and the upper end of a buggy.;CONSTITUTION: A method for obtaining magnesium comprises the following steps: a step of separating a lower cover which is fixed to the lower end of an outer pipe of a magnesium extraction passage(100); a step of placing a carriage(300) on the lower part of the outer pipe without the lower cover, adjacently placing an exhaust pipe and an inlet of a suction line(410) to be interconnected while opening an opening and closing unit(420) which closes the inlet, and flowing air into the carriage through the exhaust pipe by suction force applied to the suction line; a step of separating an upper cover which is fixed to the upper end of the outer pipe of the magnesium extraction passage in order to enable external air to flow in through the upper end of the outer pipe and to discharge through the exhaust pipe of the carriage; a step of drawing a magnesium evaporating unit from the inside to the outside of the outer pipe and discharging slag with a high temperature through the lower side of the outer pipe by lifting an inner pipe which is inserted into the outer pipe to a predetermined height; a step of closing the inside of the lower end of the outer pipe by lowering the lifted inner pipe, introducing dolomite into the upper end of the outer pipe, and subsequently inserting the magnesium evaporating unit into the outer pipe; a step of reinstalling the upper cover to the upper end of the outer pipe, moving the carriage to the following magnesium extraction passage, and closing the inlet of the suction line by the opening and closing unit; and a step reinstalling the lower cover to the lower end of the outer pipe.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
