摘要

PURPOSE: A variable friction damper using a shape memory alloy is provided to offer damping force responding to the vibration of low frequency and high frequency by varying the friction force of a friction member.;CONSTITUTION: A variable friction damper using a shape memory alloy comprises a damper housing(110), a piston rod(120), a friction member(130), a fixing member(140), and a friction force varying unit. The damper housing has a predetermined space in which the piston rod moves in the longitudinal direction of the damper housing. The piston rod reciprocates inside the damper housing in order to damp the vibration of a vibrating medium. The friction member is rubbed with the outer circumference of the piston rod for providing damping force for damping the vibration of the external vibrating medium by surrounding the outer circumference of the piston rod inside the damper housing. The fixing member comprises an arm(141) which is extended by penetrating the damper housing and is positioned inside the damper housing for surrounding the outer circumference of the friction member. The friction force varying unit varies the friction force between the piston rod and friction member by selectively fixing the fixing member to the damper housing.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
