PURPOSE: A ship intake air cooling system having a turbocharger and a central fresh water cooler are provided to cool intake air supplied to an engine of a ship using an absorbing type cooler, thereby raising engine efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A ship intake air cooling system having a turbocharger (100) and a central fresh air cooler includes the turbocharger, a cooling unit, an absorbing type cooler (200,200a), and a central fresh water cooler (700). The turbocharger compresses intake air entered from outside using part of exhaust gas generated in an engine (300) and includes a front end through which the intake air is entered and a rear end for supplying compressed intake air to the engine. The cooling unit includes a first cooling unit (510), a second cooling unit (520) and a third cooling unit (530). A first working fluid is circulated in the first cooling unit to exchange heat with the intake air discharged from the turbocharger. A second working fluid is circulated in the second cooling unit to exchange heat with the intake air. The third cooling unit is arranged between the first cooling unit and the second cooling unit. The absorbing type cooler receives a heat source from the first and second working fluids through the first and second cooling units. The center fresh water cooler supplies fresh water having a different temperature to the second cooling unit and a cooling requiring facility installed in the ship.
