PURPOSE: An organic dye derivative is provided to optimize an absorbance, and to manufacture a solar cell, a coating material, and an optical catalyst semiconductor material etc having a high photoelectric conversion efficiency. CONSTITUTION: An organic dye derivative is indicated as the chemical formula 1 below by using the equation: 1/r12 = 1- + erf(r12)/r12 + + erf(r12)/r12 which is calculated by computer protocol. In the equation, erf indicates standard error function, r12 indicates distance between electrons on coordinate r1 and r2, indicates range-separation parameter or damping parameter, and + indicates correct conversion fraction.
