PURPOSE: An aqueous adhesive composition is provided to improve adhesiveness, adhesive predetermined speed, and adhesive quality, and to reduce necessary energy consumption for achieving a desired result. CONSTITUTION: An aqueous adhesive composition for corrugated cardboard assembly comprises a first and a second part. The second part is manufactured from a mixture comprising more than one kind of leguminous plant starch, and more than one kind of grains and/or tuber starch. The first part is manufactured from a single starch, especially pea starch, or from a mixture comprising more than one kind of leguminous plant starch, and more than one kind of grains and/or tuber starch, especially the same mixture used for the second part.
