SUPPRESSION OF THE ACTIVITY OF 15-HYDROXYPROSTAGLANDIN DEHYDROGENASE BY A FLAVONE COMPOUND AND A USE OF THE COMPOUND

PURPOSE: A flavone compound is provided to increase PGE2 in cells with less cytotoxicity and to enable effective wound healing, thereby being used as an active ingredient of a composition and a cosmetic composition for preventing and treating diseases which need the increase of PGE2.;CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating diseases which need the increase of PEG2, such as inflammatory diseases, tumor, Alzheimer's disease, and atherosclerosis contains a compound of chemical formula 1 as an active ingredient. The compound of chemical formula 1 suppresses 15-hydroxyprostaglandin dehydrogenase (15-hydroxy PGDH) and increases PGE2.
