PURPOSE: A shock absorbing device integrated with mastics for protecting an LNG insulation system of an LNG carrier is provided to prevent damage to the bottom plywood board of an insulation panel by transferring an impact load to mastic through a shock absorbing member and a spring member.;CONSTITUTION: A shock absorbing device integrated with mastic for protecting an LNG insulation system of an LNG carrier comprises a membrane metal panel (10), an insulation panel (20), a bottom plywood board (32), and mastics (40). The membrane metal panel has barrier walls which directly touch LNG. The insulation panel is formed on the bottom of the membrane metal panel. The bottom plywood board is installed on the bottom surface of the insulation panel and supports the insulation panel. The mastics are installed between the bottom plywood board and a hull (60) at uniform intervals and absorb shock transferred from the bottom plywood board.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
