PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for transceiving data are provided to increase the performance of a PLC system by performing transmission and reception only one time to complete a data transmission process. CONSTITUTION: A controller of a basic module confirms a transmission flag in a transmission and reception data table(S51). If the transmission flag is 1, the controller generates a data packet(S52). The controller controls a transceiver to transmit the generated packet to a communication module(S53). A controller of the communication module confirms a reception flag in the transmission and reception data table(S55). If the reception flag is 1, the controller generates a data packet(S56). The controller controls the transceiver to transmit the generated packet to the basic module(S57).
