PURPOSE: A new pharmaceutical composition or functional food is provided to suppress absorption of alcohol, inhibit a liver damage from alcohol or have hangover relieving effect. CONSTITUTION: A functional health food comprises a green tea extract containing catechingallate and poly-gamma-glutamic acid. A molecular weight of poly-gamma-glutamic acid is 1-4,000 kDa. The poly-gamma-glutamic acid has an effect of suppressing absorption of catechingallate in the blood.
