FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, namely to neurology, and can be used for predicting development of minimal brain dysfunction (MBD) in children. Factors of risk of perinatal pathology are determined: assessment by Apgar scale, presence of 3 or more abortions in anamnesis, chronic inflammatory diseases of mother's reproductive sphere during pregnancy and labour, peculiarities of labour course, chronic intrauterine hypoxia of fetus, delayed neuropsychic development, threat of pregnancy abortion, hereditary load by MBD, conflictual family relationship, hypertutelage, emotional dissatisfaction of parents with child. Delayed formation of electrocortical rhythm is carried out by electroencephalogram data. Their gradations and numerical values are determined, after which prognostic coefficients F1 and F2 are determined by formulas with further comparison of their values. If F1 is larger than F2, low risk is predicted, and if F1 is lower than F2, high risk of development of minimal brain dysfunction in child, who does not have clinical signs of disease, is predicted.;EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase efficiency and purposefulness of preventive and therapeutic procedures in groups of patients with high risk.;1 tbl, 2 ex
