The method involves applying a concrete (9) on a roof. A drainage device (3) is partially installed on the roof, partially inserted in a reinforcement of the roof, and connected with the reinforcement before application of the concrete. A form-fit connection of the drainage device with the concrete is obtained during application of the concrete. A sealing web is applied on the concrete. The sealing web is fastened at the drainage device. The drainage device is partially covered by the sealing web. A metallic flange is injected in a plastic body. An independent claim is also included for a drainage device.
