The control unit (1) has a throttle valve housing (2) with a gas channel (3). A throttle valve (4) is provided for regulating the gas passing through the gas channel. The throttle valve bearings (9,10) are formed from a plastic or from a lightweight metal or non-ferrous metal. A cylindrical sleeve is fastened by a press fit into bearing housings (7,8). Two adjacent, axially arranged rows are provided in the sleeve wall with the similar dimensions of multiple, equally spaced circumferentially extending slots.
