The method involves examining a measure for a heat transfer from a heated temperature sensor (1) i.e. resistance thermometer (3), to fluid based on presence of periodicity in a predetermined interval. The present periodicity exists in the predetermined interval and is utilized for recognizing a droplet deposition. A heating power for heating the temperature sensor is examined based on presence of the periodicity in the predetermined interval. The heated temperature sensor of a thermal volumetric flow meter is utilized in a gaseous flow with a relative humidity of 80 percent.
