The component has multitude of reinforcement fibers made of a reinforcement fiber material and embedded in a matrix that is made of a matrix material, where the component is partially made of a fiber composite material. A reinforcement element is embedded into the matrix, and comprises several of reinforcement fiber materials e.g. glass or carbon fibers, and metal e.g. iron or steel. The reinforcement element is in a form of a lattice and fiber e.g. multitude to fibers, a mat or a metal sheet, where the component is designed as a structural component with a chamber. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a component.
