The heat exchanger has a pipe, a block with ribs, a pipe base provided with a base area and assigned outer areas (5) and a collecting box that is connected with the pipe base in the operating condition of the heat exchanger over a sealing frame (6). The base area of the pipe base is formed in a curved shape with a low point that is deeply arranged opposite to the outer areas. The low point is arranged in a central plane of the base area of the pipe base. The pipe base has a passage to the outside.
