The image capturing device (1) has a closed housing (3) that is penetrated by a tunnel (5) surrounding a tunnel axis (I). A holder (10) is mounted in an inner space (4) of the housing, where a detector (12) with a radiation-sensitive surface (16) is mounted on the holder. An angle of the detector surface is adjusted with respect to the tunnel axis, and an axial position of the detector is adjusted by moving the holder relative to the housing. The tunnel is surrounded by the holder in an annular manner. An X-ray source (11) is attached opposite to the detector at the holder.
