The actuator (12) has a linear drive (28) for generating a linear reciprocating motion. The linear actuator comprises an adjusting element (30) for transmitting the linear reciprocating movement in a linear direction (V). An actuating element is designed to be pivotable around a pivot axis relative to the brake shoe. The adjusting element stands in engagement with the actuating element, such that the linear motion of the adjusting element generates a pivoting movement of the actuating element around the pivot axis to move the brake shoe from an open position to a closed position. An independent claim is included for a disk brake with a movable brake shoe, a counter brake shoe connecting the disk brake with a brake caliper, particularly a floating caliper and an actuator.
