The actuator (1) has a movable brake shoe (2) for pressing a brake disc (s) between the brake shoe and an opposing brake pad (3). An operating element (7) is arranged for moving the brake shoe from an open position to a closed position. The operating element is swung relative to the brake shoe about an axis. A main assembly (10) is provided for generating a pivoting movement of the operating element about the axis and for coupling the actuating element with the brake disc.
