The device has an assembly (19) including a flexible bonnet (12) movable between a covering position in which a vehicle interior is covered, and a storage position in which the bonnet is stored at a rear part of the vehicle interior. Two guiding slides (22) guide displacements of the bonnet, where side edges of the bonnet rest on the slides in the covering position. Covers (18) are integrated with the slides, and laterally extend the bonnet into the vehicle interior in the covering position. The covers and the assembly are visually arranged between the bonnet and side parts of the vehicle. An independent claim is also included for a vehicle.
