The rotor (1) has circular friction tracks connected to a hub (4) that is rotated around a rotation axis (A). A closed annular chamber (2) is attached to the tracks, where the chamber contains fluid e.g. water. The tracks are formed directly on an external surface of the chamber, where the chamber includes a circular cross section. The chamber includes a friction track on a surface that is turned radially toward exterior or interior. The chamber includes thick sheets that form inner annular part for receiving the tracks and outer annular parts that are placed apart from the tracks.
