PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a web press and an operational method for the web press, capable of suppressing occurrence of paper spoiling by suppressing occurrence of defective printing when starting transfer of ink on a web.;SOLUTION: A web press 100 includes a control unit 101 which controls operation of detachable devices 132, 142, 152, 162 of print units 130, 140, 150, 160, so as to pair-contact pairs of printing cylinders 131a, 131b, 141a, 141b, 151a, 151b, 161a, 161b of the printing units 130, 140, 150, 160 in an order from a fourth printing unit 160 positioned at the lowest stream side in travel direction of a web 11 toward a first print unit 130 positioned on the top stream side in travel direction of the web 11 when transferring of ink to the web 11 is started.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
