PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an oxygen reduction catalyst which can be mass-synthesized at low cost, a platinum-free oxygen reduction catalyst having performance equivalent to a platinum oxygen reduction catalyst, an electrode which carries an oxygen reduction catalyst mass-synthesized at low cost, and a manufacturing method thereof.SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of an oxygen reduction catalyst formed of iron phthalocyanine/graphene nanocomposite includes the steps of: mixing a graphene oxide dispersion liquid composed of graphene oxide dispersed in water and an iron phthalocyanine dispersion liquid composed of iron phthalocyanine dispersed in alcohol so as to be self-organized into an iron phthalocyanine/graphene oxide composite; and reducing the iron phthalocyanine/graphene oxide composite to produce an iron phthalocyanine/graphene nanocomposite.
