CAUSE OF QUALITY DETERIORATION ESTIMATION DEVICE AND METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate the cause and effect between observation variables without using a conventional time order of causal relationship, thereby identifying the main cause of quality deterioration at the time of occurrence.;SOLUTION: The present invention observes the quality, traffic and server load of a network service and stores the observed value in storage means. In a case when the observed value is worse than a predetermined quality threshold, or when a time series variation is detected, the case is detected as occurrence of quality deterioration. When quality deterioration is detected, independence test for residual of regression analysis is performed mutually on a pair of the observed values. A regression in which the residual is independent is estimated to be a casual relation, and the observed value inferred to be uppermost of the casual relation is estimated as the main cause of quality deterioration.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
