MULTI-PROBE SKULL FIXING DEVICE LOW IN HEIGHT AND METHOD FOR USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for fixing a probe or a lead wire that can be embedded in the brain of a patient.SOLUTION: The system comprises a burr hole cap 14, an elongate sheath 16, an elongate expansion element 18 and multiple elongate probes. The burr hole cap includes an approximately-cylindrical part, a proximal end and a distal end. A flange part of the burr hole cap is arranged at the proximal end. A diaphragm is arranged in the cylindrical part. The elongate sheath includes a lumen extending inward. The elongate expansion element is arranged in the lumen of the sheath. The expansion element has a longer longitudinal length than that of the sheath. When the expansion element is arranged in the lumen of a separable sheath, the expansion element and the sheath can penetrate the diaphragm. Each of the elongate probes is arranged in the lumen of the sheath. The probe has a longer longitudinal length than that of the sheath.
