PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brilliant toner capable of forming images with high brilliance even when a small amount of toner is mounted on a recording medium.SOLUTION: A brilliant toner has toner particles including brilliant particles containing a brilliant pigment and a binder resin; and when a solid image formed on a recording medium in a condition of a toner mounting amount of 3.0 g/mis observed in conditions of a 10x magnification objective lens and a 16x magnification eyepiece lens, the area of the brilliant pigment accounted for that of the solid image is 30% or more and 80% or less.
