PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stilbenoid compound as an inhibitor for squamous cell carcinoma and hepatoma and uses thereof.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a stilbenoid compound represented by the general formula I as an inhibitor for head and neck squamous cell carcinoma and hepatoma, and pharmaceutical compositions using the same.
