PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium tantalite single crystal manufacturing method which can easily produce a crystal having a homogeneous composition without any unevenness over a crystal entirety and excellent in optical characteristics or the like without using any expensive device such as a double crucible or a continuous material feeder and without any requirement for a production of a long time period, and a lithium tantalite single crystal produced by the method.;SOLUTION: A crystal is grown by using a molten liquid which is prepared to have a composition of 50.0 mol% of tantalum oxide, 39.8-41.8 mol% of lithium oxide, and 8.2 to 10.2 mol% of magnesium oxide as an additive.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
