PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous core-shell tetragonal titanium oxide solid-solution dispersion, a method for manufacturing the aqueous dispersion, an ultraviolet-shielding silicone coating composition including the aqueous dispersion, and a coated object coated with a cured film of the composition.SOLUTION: The present aqueous core-shell tetragonal titanium oxide solid-solution dispersion is provided by dispersing, within an aqueous dispersion medium, a core-shell tetragonal titanium oxide solid-solution having tetragonal titanium oxide particulates with which tin and manganese are solid-solubilized as nuclei and silicon oxide as shells; in this aqueous core-shell tetragonal titanium oxide solid-solution dispersion, average particle diameters of the nuclear particulates and core-shell solid-solution are respectively 30 nm or below and 50 nm or below, and the respective solid-solubilized contents of the tin and manganese in terms of molar ratio are each confined to 10-1,000. There can be provided an ultraviolet-shielding silicone coating composition (hard coating agent) including a particular dispersion yielding a cured film simultaneously realizing a high weather resistance and a high ultraviolet shielding capacity and also excellent in terms of transparency, scratch resistance, and adhesiveness without sacrificing designability.
