PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit unnecessary authentication at an access control gate capable of authenticating by using radio communication or wire communication and authenticating by using human body communication.SOLUTION: The access control gate comprises: a first authentication section for authenticating a portable device having authentication information by performing wire communication or radio communication with the portable device; a second authentication section for authenticating the portable device by performing human body communication with the portable device when the authentication is not performed by the first authentication section; and an opening/closing part which opens and closes the gate according to whether or not the portable device is authenticated by the first or the second authentication section.
