PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for highly efficiently screening candidate compounds of acid-fast bacterium growth inhibitor harmless to eukaryotes such as human and selectively inhibiting growth of the acid-fast bacteria, and to provide acid-fast bacterium growth inhibitors obtained by the method. PSOLUTION: There is provided a screening method of candidate compounds of acid-fast bacterium growth inhibitors, screening from the test compound group consisting of one or plural test compounds, the test compounds having selectively inhibiting activity to the reaction synthesizing in the cell of the acid-fast bacterium, phosphatidylinositol phosphate (PIP) from CDP-diacylglycerol and inositol monophosphate, and selecting as the candidate compounds of the acid-fast bacterium growth inhibitors.
