PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To present a search keyword which allows a user to reach information appropriate for the user's familiarity with a location, by properly determining the specialties of a document on a region.;SOLUTION: In this invention, an expression of a geographical name and a position coordinate of the geographical name are extracted from a document. A specialty level on reference to a geographical name is set higher for a geographical name having a lower hierarchical level and, in such a manner, the specialty level on reference to a geographical name is granted to each expression of the geographical names. The position coordinate of each expression of the geographical names is acquired to calculate a geographical range subject to determination on the basis of distribution of the position coordinates. A sum A and a sum B are obtained, in which the sum A is a sum of the specialty levels on reference to an expression of a geographical name in a document and the sum B is a sum of the specialty levels on reference to a geographical expression in a document which are in the geographical range subject to determination. A value obtained by dividing the sum B by the sum A is defined as a density of geographical expressions in a document. A value obtained by dividing the density of geographical expressions in a document by a geographical range (the entire area referred by the document) is defined as a document specialty level.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
