PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an inkjet recording material having good pearl gloss by suppressing occurrence of surface defect in particular in regard to the method for producing the inkjet recording material using pearlescent pigment.;SOLUTION: A coating solution mainly containing inorganic fine particles and containing a hydrophilic binder, a film hardener of the hydrophilic binder and the pearlescent pigment is applied onto a support to provide an ink receiving layer. In the method for producing the inkjet recording material, when the coating solution is applied, a mixture containing at least the inorganic fine particles and the hydrophilic binder is made to pass through a filtering apparatus, then is subjected to inline mixing with dispersion liquid containing the pearlescent pigment just before application and then the obtained coating solution is applied.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
