PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handheld laser ranger with its sensitivity and furthermore its measurement range improved by more accurately utilizing measurement time in pulse reflection mixing method.;SOLUTION: This handheld laser ranger is equipped with at least one delay circuit 9a or 9b controllable by control means 2. The above delay circuits 9a, 9b are arranged between local oscillation 8 and photodetector 10 and/or phototransmitter 12 to generate delay between scanning pulse 11 and transmitted pulse 7 for scanning measured pulse 4 and reference pulse 6.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
