PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely seal a resin in a cavity, and securely suppress occurrence of tape wrinkles on a lens circumference due to volume shrinkage accompanying polymerization curing.SOLUTION: An adhesive tape 100 for molding a plastic lens is to seal along the circumferential direction between a pair of molds 30, 30 in which a polymerizable monomer is filled, and has a tape substrate 10 and an adhesive layer 20 to adhere to the molds 30, 30, wherein the adhesive layer 20 is composed of an adhesive whose cohesive force decreases in the temperature region in which the polymerizable monomer filled between the molds 30, 30 polymerizes and shrinks. Thereby, the tape exhibits sufficient adhesive force and cohesive force from the resin injection time till the volume of the resin starts to shrink. At the volume shrinkage time of the resin accompanying polymerization curing, the cohesive force weakens and the force acting in the width direction of the tape substrate 10 decreases, causing no crushing of the tape substrate.
