PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating a black liquor, which is included in a step for producing pulp, which can regenerate the black liquor into a white liquor (orange color liquor), namely a cooking liquor without performing a combustion step using a recovery boiler and a caustisizing step by slaking, and to provide an apparatus therefor.;SOLUTION: A cooking liquor, a black liquor, and an auxiliary are added to wood chips and then thermally cooked to obtain the cooked liquor (hereinafter referred to as a black liquor) containing pulped fibers and organic components derived from the wood chips. The black liquor is separated from the pulp fibers in a washing step. Provided is the method for treating the recovered black liquor, having a step for irradiating the black liquor with electromagnetic waves having one or more wavelengths selected from a wavelength range of ultraviolet rays to infrared rays electronically exciting the molecules of one or more components contained in the black liquor to produce-separate acidic substances, volatile organic substances from the black liquor, and a step for converting into a cooking liquor.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
