PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abnormality detection method for a pressure tank, capable of accurately detecting the abnormality of a pressure tank such as a drop of sealing pressure, and to provide a water supply device having a function to detect the abnormality of the pressure tank.;SOLUTION: During a time from when a pump of the water supply device is stopped till when it is restarted, a pressure difference P_F'-P_S' between a discharge side pressure P_F' of the pump at a first time point t_F and a discharge side pressure P_S' of the pump at a second time point t_S is calculated, and the pressure difference P_F'-P_S' is compared with a predetermined reference pressure difference. When the pressure difference P_F'-P_S' is the reference pressure difference or greater, the occurrence of abnormality in the pressure tank is determined.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
