PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new gene of rice blast field resistance and the method for improving the rice blast resistance of rice plant by the use of the gene. PSOLUTION: The method comprises isolating the field resistance gene Pi35(t) of rice by a chain analysis and giving rice a resistance to a broad range of rice blast races by introducing the Pi35(t) gene to rice or breeding rice having the Pi35(t) gene.
